The short version
ShowMate is built local-first. The core app runs entirely on your own device, and your inventory, sales, buys, and trades are stored there — not on our servers. You can use ShowMate day to day without creating an account or sending us your business data.
Data stored on your device
Your catalog, pricing snapshot, inventory, cost basis, and full transaction history are stored locally in your device’s browser storage (IndexedDB). This data stays on your device unless you explicitly export it or enable Pro syncing. Clearing your browser storage or uninstalling the app removes it, so we recommend using the built-in export to keep your own backups.
Information we collect
Account information (Pro only): if you create an account for Pro features, we store your email address to sign you in (via a one-time “magic link”) and to identify your subscription and registered devices.
Billing information (Pro only): subscription payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
Sync data (Pro only, if enabled): if you turn on device-to-device sync, the inventory data needed to reconcile your devices is transmitted through our sync service so your other devices can retrieve it.
Basic technical/usage data: like most websites and apps, our servers may log standard technical information (such as IP address and request metadata) for security and reliability.
Pricing & catalog data
Card catalog data, market pricing, and graded comps are provided under license by our data partner and bundled into the on-device snapshot you download. Browsing the catalog and pricing offline does not send your activity anywhere.

To provide and secure your account and Pro subscription.
To operate optional Pro features you turn on, such as device sync.
To communicate with you about your account, billing, and important service updates.
We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers needed to run ShowMate — for example, our hosting provider, payment processor, and email delivery provider — and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.
Your choices
Use the app’s export tools at any time to download your full data.
Use ShowMate without an account to keep all data on-device.
Contact us to access, correct, or delete your account information.
